We are currently recruiting a Senior Accountant to join our team. We're an approved training office with CPA Ontario with a pre-approved assurance program. We have a highly motivated team, with a professional and fast-paced work environment, providing assurance, accounting, and tax services to a diverse group of clients.
Plan, organize and control multiple responsibilities and resources to achieve Audit, Review and Notice to Reader engagement objectives.
Review engagement file, financial statements, and appropriate income tax returns
Assist with due diligence and field examinations conducted for lenders
Monitor multiple projects and deadlines
3+ years of experience with assurance engagements in a Canadian public accounting environment, preferably including audits of Canadian reporting issuer
~ Thorough understanding and experience working with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and the Accounting Standards for Private Enterprises (ASPE)
~ Strong knowledge of Canadian auditing standards
~ Experience with Canadian corporate taxes
~ Strong knowledge of Caseware, Caseview and MS Office (Excel and Word)
~ Strong project management skills and organization, able to manage multiple engagements simultaneously
~ Ability to recognize accounting and tax issues and work with the team to resolve any issues that arise
~ Ability to perform research and reach technical conclusions
