Based in our Waterloo region office, the successful candidate will have a strong background in Municipal infrastructure planning and transportation design. As a Senior Project Manager, Municipalities, you will be expected to assist in growing and expanding the business and maintaining harmonious relationships with existing and new clients throughout the province and potentially beyond, where beneficial opportunities exist and align with Arcadis goals. Working with our Design and Engineering teams, you'll create some of the world’s most iconic and ground-breaking transportation facilities and spaces that transform the world around us, from making journeys easier to opening up public places that bring people together.
We partner with our clients across the globe to design thriving and connected cities and communities that enable opportunity for all and keep the world moving. Climate change, urbanization and digitization trends are requiring today’s mobility projects and systems to address an evolving set of demands from the world’s growing population. To function as a Group Manager for a small but growing municipal design engineering group and as Project Manager/ Senior Project Manager on civil infrastructure projects with focus on detailed design for municipal infrastructure and municipal transportation facilities
Prepare designs and contract specifications for a wide variety of projects
Manage staff productivity and utilization
Mentor staff and project teams
Supervise staff and participate directly in the completion of projects
Participate in and/or lead project coordination between other design disciplines, management of project schedule and budget
Bachelor’s University Degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited university
At least 10+ years of Civil Engineering experience in the consulting services industry including roles with management and business development responsibilities
Familiarity with the Municipal Class Environmental Assessment process an asset
Familiarity with AutoCAD, MicroStation, InRoads and Civil3D an asset
Familiarity with Southern Ontario and Waterloo Regionarea market conditions, and more specifically the public and private sector client base in and around the Waterloo Region area
Ability and desire to work independently as well as in groups with a demonstrated ability to manage projects, project teams, and clients
Excellent technical understanding and strongverbal and written communication skills are expected
Keen analytical and decision-making skills, with commitment to excellence and high-quality work
Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office,remote communications tools, collaboration tools and applications including SharePoint and the full suite of Microsoft Office products including Microsoft 365
You’ll do meaningful work, and no matter what role, you’ll be helping to deliver sustainable solutions for a more prosperous planet. These could includework references, education and credential confirmation, employment verification and driver’s license record.
