NATURE OF THE WORK AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Reporting to the Academic Dean, the Dean of Social Science and Business Technologies is responsible for ensuring academic excellence in the sector. The sector comprises programs in Social Science and Business Technologies. They provide leadership and support for the management of programs and departments of the sector. The Dean is responsible for the management of programs, departments, learning activities, budgets, and personnel within the sector and is a part of the leadership team at the college level.
Requirements:
QUALIFICATIONS:
An undergraduate degree in an appropriate specialization and minimum of six (6) years of relevant experience, preferably including at least three (3) years are in a post-secondary teaching experience.

Knowledge of competency-based education
Excellent interpersonal, communication and relationship-building skills
Excellent organizational skills
Ability to exercise good judgment with excellent analytical, critical-thinking, decision-making and problem-solving skills
Demonstrated ability in managing a significant budget and working with complex financial systems

Conflict-resolution, negotiation, and advocacy skills
Demonstrated ability to work in a self-directed and team environment
An open, collegial, and collaborative management style
Ability to be proactive and anticipate needs and future trends

Knowledge of MS Office Suite
Managerial experience considered an asset
