As a Business Development Associate at Convera, you will be responsible for account management strategy, pipeline development, closing upsell or cross sell opportunities while managing retention. As part of the Growth Payments segment of the Sales team, there will be a focus on acquiring the business of companies that are not within the current vertical of Convera. Through regular client assessment, you will use access to data and problem-solving techniques, to identify service and product improvements and opportunities. You will work closely with Business Development Managers to enhance Convera’s presence in various business sectors.
Creative problem-solving with a growth mindset; actively and intuitively seeking ways to simplify process and improve performance.
• Enhancing brand awareness with excellent communication and presentations across all media.
• Understanding the values of our partnership relationships and create account management strategies to facilitate deals leveraging them where possible.
• Supporting Direct Sales teams on Client Discovery to ensure we are matching the products, processes, and pricing for New Business Opportunities.
• Seeking new ways to drive account management efficiencies internally and externally through process and systems that allow us to scale quickly.
• Acting as a role model and provide mentorship to the team in identifying, sourcing, and developing new business opportunities through existing customer channels.
• Collaborating with key cross functional teams in Product & Technology, Marketing, Network, Finance, Operations, Compliance & Risk as we transform our approach to serving Education customers in this strategically vital segment.
• Owning the portfolio management, health, and growth of funnel/pipeline new opportunities.
• Following a cadence of Salesforce and other sales operational tools for clear visibility to pipeline and opportunity management.
• Essential to have fluent language skills in both French and English.
• This candidate must have extensive experience in succesfully delivering Sales or Account Management roles in a B2B environment.
• Bachelor’s Degree in marketing, business administration, sales, or relevant field preferred.
• Salesforce.o identifying new sales opportunities/cross and upselling within existing accounts,
Experience in analysing data and sales statistics to translate results into better sales.
• Strong interpersonal skills to lead and build positive relationships and influence at Senior executive level both internally and across the customer base.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills across all media, as well as experience in leading sales and GTM technology (Salesforce.Formerly Western Union Business Solutions, we leverage decades of industry expertise and technology-led payment solutions to deliver smarter money movements to our customers – helping them capture more value with every transaction.
