Pasquini & Associates is seeking an experienced Survey Party Chief (5+ years’ experience) to
Our geomatics group conducts legal surveys (for subdivisions,
construction surveys, new home construction surveys,
topographic/site surveys, and any other survey related services our clients require. successful candidate will be primarily responsible for construction surveys and
Minimum 5 years’ experience as a Survey Party Chief with at least 3 years’ experience
Experience as a survey party chief for new home
construction projects is an asset.
Proficiency in oral and written English communication skills.
Ability to interpret survey plans, engineering plans and architectural plans.
Working knowledge of GPS, total stations, and electronic data collection equipment.
Valid driver’s license (Class 5) must be maintained and is a condition of employment.
Report to Alberta Land Surveyor/Project Manager.
Compliance with Pasquini & Associates’ Health and Safety policies and procedures.
Management and oversight of assigned field survey.
Conduct legal and construction surveys for subdivisions, rights of way, condominiums
(bare land and building), commercial/industrial development, and new home
Supervise and mentor Survey Assistant, as required.
Uphold and adhere to minimum survey standards as per the ALSA Manual of Standard
Practice and Pasquini & Associates’ field surveys policies/practices.
Accurate/precise data collection and clear/concise field notes.
Equipment maintenance, control, repair, and inventory accountability.
Must provide own vehicle for travel to and from job sites. Must provide own cellular phone with data plan. Manage and oversee land surveying projects from start to finish
- Conduct field surveys using various surveying equipment
- Collect and analyze survey data using data management systems and databases
- Prepare accurate and detailed survey reports
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other team members to ensure project success
- Train and mentor junior surveyors
Bachelor's degree in Land Surveying or a related field
- Proficient in the use of surveying equipment and software
- Strong knowledge of land surveying principles and techniques
- Excellent data management skills, including experience with databases
- As a Party Chief, you will play a crucial role in our land surveying projects. You will be responsible for managing the entire surveying process, from conducting field surveys to analyzing data and preparing reports. Your expertise in data management and databases will be essential in ensuring accurate and reliable survey results.
