SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES

Yamaha Motor Finance Canada is the established captive finance division of Yamaha Motor Canada, which is focused on providing financial solutions to Yamaha dealers and customers through its Retail and Wholesale finance programs.

The Product Manager will be primarily responsible for executing the product and pricing strategy for the business, engaging with the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) Sales Incentive Team, Sales & Marketing, Credit, Operations and Risk functions to ensure the business deploys suitable product to the market that exceeds the OEM, dealer and customer expectations, and meets the profitability targets for the business. The position will also help manager key vendor relationships with our technology and aftersales ancillary partners.

The Product Manager will be expected to bring knowledge and insights to the broader team to help in the long term growth and success of the business.

KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Work with the Sales and Marketing Manager to execute the customer and dealer value proposition
  • Facilitate the process of product delivery by collaborating closely with Technology, Risk, Credit, Sales and Marketing and the Operations functions – ensure product is suitably structured and priced and that all systems deployment is managed properly. Be the end-to-end quarterback
  • Work closely with the OEM sales incentive team to ensure optimal incentive based programs are deployed to market, and maintained appropriately as and when needed
  • Manage existing product offers in market ensuring optimal performance, dealer acceptance and customer satisfaction
  • Participate in Management/Leadership Committees and prepare reports as required

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS AND/OR EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

  • Degree/Diploma: University Degree, advanced degree preferred
  • Program of Study: Bachelor’s degree required; CPA or MBA desirable
  • Years of Experience: 3-5 years experience
  • Type of Experience: Captive Finance Product & Pricing experience preferred; Bank product functional experience

SKILLS & ABILITIES

  • Sound knowledge of lending and lease products and credit parameters
  • Strong financial and business acumen
  • Excellent critical thinking and analytical skills; strategic thinker, entrepreneurial
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate and influence effectively across all levels of the organization
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and flexibility to adapt to change
  • Ability to work independently and a natural curiosity are important personal attributes to be successful in this role
  • Initiative and accountability are critical to thrive in this entrepreneurial environment
  • A strong team player who will contribute to the culture of the organization; strong collaborator
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite of products. Strong excel/modelling skills required
  • Strong executive-level PowerPoint presentation skills required
