BVLGARI, the contemporary Italian designer of luxury jewels and watches, is seeking an Assistant Store Manager for its Yorkdale boutique. This position will report to the Store Director with a matrix reporting to the East Coast Regional Director.

The Assistant Store Manager acts as a partner to lead the profitability and growth of the boutique in the local market while effectively building the brand image. The Assistant Store Manager is also responsible for maintaining and achieving high operational and merchandizing standards and goals and developing a highly motivated sales team.

The Assistant Store Manager is viewed as the brand's ambassador in the absence of the Store Director.

The BVLGARI Assistant Store Manager will be accountable for the following key deliverables:

Achieve and/or Exceed Sales Plan

  • The Assistant Manager plays an integral role in the development and execution of strategic initiatives to deliver sales budget and growth.
  • Establish HNWI sales and metrics.
  • Analyse and monitor sales team KPIs on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis to implement strategic action plans to achieve cross-category KPIs
  • Develop sales techniques and demonstrate an active role on the selling floor through sales leadership, coaching, client development, and eventing.
  • Keep an eye on the competitive landscape and remain knowledgeable of industry trends to determine strategic opportunities to maximize sales within the market.
  • Maintain VM based on brand vision and KCPs
  • Trains and motivates the selling team to use CRM tools to develop sustained repeat business and analyze metrics to adjust as necessary.
People Leadership

  • Lead, coach, motivate, and hold accountable the sales team for KPI achievement, client outreach, and development
  • Continuously monitor the execution of Bulgari credo and coach the sales team on delivering a unique and memorable client experience (client focus, storytelling, extraordinary service, selling skills, and attitude), observing the sales floor and providing continuous feedback.
  • In partnership with HR, active career planning and preparedness of the sales team for future succession
Key Competencies:

  • Minimum 8 years of proven experience in a similar role, preferably with a high-end luxury retailer. High Jewelry and Watches retail sales experience is a plus.
  • Strategic, agile, tenacious, and inspiring people leader with a keen understanding of navigating all facets of a luxury retail operation while paying attention to direct competition within the market
  • Proven ability to drive and exceed business results
  • Ability to think strategically, make quick, sound decisions, and implement proper business actions.
  • Managerial experience emphasizing motivating and developing staff at various career levels and profiles.
  • Extensive retail experience in the local market to successfully develop local clientele; ability to leverage networks by cultivating key industry-related relationships and knowledge of local marketing and media.
  • Knowledge of merchandising techniques
  • Expertise in retail store applications such as Beanstore, SalesForce, SAP
  • Can work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
