LeverageTek is actively seeking a Business Analyst for a 12-month contract with its Ottawa-based customer. Work LocationThe successful candidate will be required to work 1-2x/week on-site at the customer headquarters in Ottawa, ON. Key TasksAct as a lead SME on their assigned SIS module, be responsible for having a thorough and complete understanding of their assigned module in order to facilitate all key responsibilities and duties, as well as supporting business areas in understanding the SIS functionsEvaluate business processes, anticipate requirements, uncover areas for improvement, and develop and implementing solutionsFacilitate and participate in configuration workshops, module focused working groups, develop future state process maps, supporting (testing, data mapping, Integrations, interfaces, reports, etc.) activitiesLead ongoing reviews of business processes and develop future state process mapsDevelop functional specifications documents, update configuration workbooks, and collaborate with other BAs, BSAs, SMEs and Vendor consultantsDocument and effectively communicate insights and plans to cross-functional team members and managementGather critical information from meetings with various stakeholders and producing useful reportsEnsure solutions meet business needs and requirementsPerform config testing, user acceptance testing, integration testing and document test resultsPrioritize initiatives based on business needs and requirementsDevelop training materials for end usersFacilitate training offerings for end users within the business area Key Qualifications10+ years’ experience as a Business AnalystSignificant, recent experience with ERP systems, cloud solutions, and transformative projects, including postsecondary student information systemsExperience working in a post-secondary environment Qualifications3-year post-secondary diploma (or equivalent)Exceptional analytical and conceptual thinking skillsExcellent documentation skillsSignificant, recent experience with ERP systems, cloud solutions, and transformative projects, including postsecondary student information systemsAbility to engage/influence stakeholders and work closely with them to determine acceptable solutionsExperience with one or more current industry standard back-office processes and process mappingExperience analyzing IT automation solutions combined with business process improvement initiativesCompetency in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, SharePoint, and OutlookHands-on experience developing process flow chart/diagram and documentsKnowledge of data and process modellingExperience in change managementExperience training end usersKnowledge of Agile and Waterfall methodologyExcellent communicator, both orally and in writing and ability to describe problems to others, to listen and to manage and influence stakeholders AssetsExperience with Thesis Student ManagementExperience with MS Project and integrated planningSalesforce experiencePM experience About LeverageTek IT SolutionsThank you for taking the time to apply Since our company’s inception in March 2003, LeverageTek IT Solutions has worked resolutely to become one of the industry’s most recognized and trusted suppliers of technology staffing and business consulting services.
