Our client is a Golden based construction company known for their design and manufacturing of timber frames throughout North America and Internationally. They are renowned for superior craftsmanship and combining traditional techniques with modern innovation. We are looking for a Sales Manager to join their team. We are looking for a candidate to relocate to beautiful Golden, BC and work with our client’s amazing team.
This position is responsible for building key customer relationships with new and existing clients and converting market opportunities into Heavy Timber and Mass Timber projects. The Sales Manager will work with staff from various departments within the organization to increase sales opportunities and maximize revenue.
The primary accountability of this position is to oversee, support, and manage the personnel, equipment, and throughput of all sales activities to support continued market growth, grow B2B partnerships, and increase repeat business with key industry partners. This role supports all production and design operations by maintaining adequate contract backlogs to support smooth day-to-day operations, reduce overall company risk, and increase profitability.
Identify Heavy Timber and Mass Timber project opportunities through diverse sales channels.
Pursue project opportunities in close collaboration with estimating and project delivery teams to ensure project offerings are suitable and competitive in the marketplace.
Convert project opportunities into confirmed projects aligned with the organization’s revenue and profitability targets.
Assist with the development and evolution of the organization’s sales strategy, reflective of relevant market dynamics, enterprise needs, etc.
Model and champion corporate values to the company’s customer base and industry at large.
Interface with the Senior Leadership Team to refine sales priorities and targets based on organizational strategy and initiatives.
Assist in developing an annual budget for markets and product lines aligned with the organization’s overall objectives.
Maintain competitive knowledge to create and adjust sales strategies as necessary.
Ensure that data is accurately entered and managed within the company’s sales management system.
Ensure pricing data is accurate and up to date to reflect changing market conditions.
5-8 years of senior sales experience or sales management experience in custom construction.
~ Experience with long-term construction projects that require engineering and design work.
~ Experience in developing sales strategies, product development plans, and KPI’s.
~ Timber frame or Mass Timber experience is considered an asset.
~ Proficient with Microsoft Office.
~ Willing to relocate to Golden, BC.
