Job Title: Application Support SpecialistLocation: Montreal, QCDuration: 12 Months ContractJob DescriptionTechnical knowledge required:• Expertise in SQL language (Sybase T-SQL required, Oracle PL/SQL is a plus) and DBMS concepts (Sybase Replication Server would be a plus)• Previous experience working in Unix environments and shell scripting• Knowledge of programming languages (C, C++, C, .Net, VBA, APS .Net, Java, 4D) is a plus• Proficiency in creating Excel Macros is a plus• Experience with Autosys, Control M, ETL tool (Datastage WX) as well as file transfer tools (CFTO is a plus)• The candidate must have at Least 5 years of experience in a similar role. He must have experience in multidisciplinary technical support within a team and have a working knowledge of performance and capacity management from an application, database and network perspective as well than a strong aptitude for automation.Personal attributes:• Knowledge and experience of Investment service industry• Good knowledge on Mutual funds Administration• Knowledge of data collection and analysis in a large and complex/diverse environment, including relevant qualifications or experience, would be an advantage• Knowledge on Performance Breakdown and Attribution calculation would be an advantage• Strong analytical skills• Good interpersonal skills and team player• Client focused• Attention to details• High energy level coupled with a desire to take on responsibility• Able to multi-taskRequired Education or Equivalent Experience: • Bachelor's degree or higher or equivalent combination of education and experience• Good French verbal communication skills are a plus, fluent English communication is a must
