Our client offers an "Intelligent Content Management System" designed to help small to mid size Biotech, Life Sciences and Pharmaceutical companies manage and document their clinical trials process to map compliance with laws, guidelines and ethics, as well as to ensure data integrity.

They are continuing to grow and are looking for a motivated Head of Sales to oversee existing, tenured sales reps as well as continue to scale the team over the next 18-24 months.

The position:

  • Implement and oversee effective and optimal sales processes to ensure that the organization is able to meet it sales objectives
  • Work as part of the leadership team to develop effective business strategies to achieve corporate objectives
  • Collaborate with the Director of Growth to align marketing, demand generation and growth initiatives with sales activities
  • Collaborate with the leadership of product and engineering to ensure alignment with commercialization and product development strategies and activities
  • Manage solution consulting to ensure that our product is presented in the best possible light to clients and that client needs are fully understood and aligned with product capabilities
  • Manage the Sales budget and objectives in collaboration with the CFO
  • Develop annual sales plans and oversee their execution
  • Provide and evolve processes related to talent acquisition, employee development, employee
  • onboarding, performance monitoring, employee growth and mentorship, and the development
  • and implementation of strategic management policies and procedures.
  • Set employee objectives and perform annual employee appraisals for department subordinates.
  • Provide Corporate reporting and metrics including identification of discrepancies

About You:

  • MUST > Located in the Montreal, Ottawa or Toronto
  • MUST > Mid Market SaaS sales experience
  • MUST > 5+ years experience in leading a sales within a B2B technology environment
  • Experience building out and executing on GTM strategy
  • Solutions oriented with ability to handle multiple competing priorities and skill in managing workloads.
  • Experience in scaling growing teams within growing businesses an asset
  • Strong leadership, communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills are a must, along with strategic planning and creative thinking abilities
  • Experience collaborating with the marketing department
  • Recruiting and training sales staff of 10 reps or more
  • Has strong sales training methodology from an established organization in their experience from earlier in their career, with recent start up experience
  • BONUS > experience selling into the Biotech, Life Sciences and Pharmaceutical space
