Erie Flooring & Wood Products is seeking a full-time permanent accountant. The successful incumbent will be responsible for a wide range of accounting responsibilities within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Analyze the general ledger in an accurate, comprehensive, and up-to-date manner.
Prepare and submit government forms for Payroll Taxes, HST, EHT etc.
Prepare account reconciliations and analyses, and ad-hoc reports as required.
Demonstrated experience of cost accounting and plant audits in a fast-paced manufacturing environment is mandatory.
Support month/year-end procedures by producing working papers, analyses and reports for external auditors.
Comfortable multitasking and performing a variety of administrative duties.
This job is an office setting job that will NOT be able to accommodate remote working from home. This is a permanent salary position that includes medical, dental, disability, life & group insurance & vision care benefits.
Must have experience in accounting and QuickBooks.
~ A degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is preferred.
~5 years of experience in General Accounting functions.
~ Ability to apply business analysis techniques to increasingly complex projects or initiatives.
