The Opportunity:

ML6 is partnering with a local municipality to find a talented SAP Payroll Business Analyst for a 20-month contract. This role will focus on enhancing SAP and other HR/payroll systems to digitize and streamline business processes.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Collaborate with Payroll, IT, and cross-functional teams to support and implement technological solutions.
  • Guide the system migration from ECC 6.0 to S/4 HANA, working closely with various stakeholders.
  • Assist end-users with testing, training, and optimizing the use of the SAP system.
  • Gather and document business requirements from subject matter experts (SMEs).
  • Participate in data mapping, extraction, and validation activities.
  • Develop and update business process documentation and training materials.
  • Conduct user acceptance and regression testing, identifying and resolving issues.
  • Prepare project documentation, including process flow diagrams and business requirement documents.
  • Implement process improvements and new functionalities to support business outcomes.
  • Create visual presentations and briefing materials for stakeholders.

What You'll Need to Be Successful:

Essential:

  • Degree or diploma in Accounting or Business.
  • Payroll (PCP/PLP) and/or PMP certification, or close to completion.
  • Strong business analysis skills to assess data and recommend solutions.
  • Experience in project management and process improvement.
  • Understanding of HR/Payroll systems and data flow, particularly SAP.
  • At least 2 years of payroll and HRIS experience, with knowledge of financial policies and compliance.
  • Strong skills in report writing and presenting findings to senior management.

Preferred:

  • Experience with S/4 HANA and related applications like SuccessFactors, SAP Analytics Cloud, Concur, and Ariba.
  • User acceptance testing experience for payroll systems.
  • Background in change management with excellent organizational skills.
