Job Title: Shipping & Receiving Supervisor

Division: Operations

Reporting Positions: Vice President

Summary Manages the warehouse team and equipment to ensure all scheduled shipments and raw materials get loaded and unloaded in a timely and safe manner as per company procedures and policies. Work closely with the logistics team to ensure all orders meet scheduled timeline.

Job Responsibilities:

- Managing warehouse operations in compliance with company’s policies and vision.

- Maintain receiving, warehousing and distribution operations by initiating, coordinating and enforcing program, operational and personnel policies and procedures.

- Working with the quality lab to ensure all samples are collected, and all material shipped to customers has QA approval, and in compliance with company ISO policies.

- Keep track of weekly and monthly inventory counts at offsite warehouse.

- Weekly and monthly reporting.

- Complete and maintain all training logs and documents for current and new hires.

- Identifies the need for repairs or other attention by a Mechanic or Electrician. May be called upon to assist the Mechanic or Electrician as necessary.

- Completes all required paperwork and labelling for shipment of product, as ensures all shift reports are completed in a timely fashion.

- Performs clean up and general manual labour tasks, or other material handling tasks such as counting, weighing, sorting, packing and unpacking, as required.

- Operates industrial lift trucks, dock loading platform and automatic stretch wrapper, and ensuring that safely ad inspection procedures are followed for all pieces of equipment.

- Assists in traffic office duties, such as back-up for; operation of truck scale, and receiving of MRO materials.

- Contribute to continuous improvement activities and projects, as required.

Provides a courteous, customer service response and attitude to all internal and external relationships.

Requirements:

- College diploma or equivalent required.

- Three years experience in a manufacturing environment.

- Previous experience in a supervisory role within shipping or logistics environment

- Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills

- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.

- Effective communication and leadership skills

- Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
