Development Manager, Fundraising Operations

Director of Financial Development
Strategic planning and Operational execution
Develop strategic plans and facilitate execution in order to ensure robust support for development activities and organizational goals
Through proven and innovative strategies, develop strategic and comprehensive annual fundraising plan(s)
Develop and implement a short and long-term development plan to meet established fundraising goals and objectives
Develop innovative partnerships with external ministries, churches, organizations, corporations, and people of influence to help to further the goals of OM
Cultivate and steward development opportunities and relationships in order to facilitate the consistent and sustainable achievement of financial goals
Develop and oversee effective prospect management strategies to identify new funding and partnership opportunities.
Work collaboratively and creatively with the Marketing & Communications staff to appropriately position development opportunities and integrate messages in publications, grant submissions, reports, and collateral materials for cultivating and stewarding donors
# Lead the development team in order to support personal development and departmental sustainability
Support the Development staff and volunteers in areas of resourcing their efforts to engage Churches, institutions and individuals to resources the ministries of OM
Manage assigned responsibilities in keeping with budget plan and review and report on variances
goals for development staff including self and evaluate, monitor, encourage and mentor staff to achieve their respective goals
Plan, direct, and coordinate all major fundraising activities & special projects and assist the Associate Director with assigned projects and with mass donor activity where needed
# Actively participate on a regular basis in team devotions, prayer times, meetings and social functions.
Partner base development
Ensure work is carried out in accordance with written and verbal communicated internal and external safety, environmental and country specific legal regulation in order to ensure safe working practice.
Work in accordance with verbal and written communicated safety and environmental regulations and understand and know the risks and risk assessments related to your role and duties.
Data savvy and think digital
CFRE designation an asset
5+ Years of senior leadership experience in the Canadian non-profit sector, ideally with a faith-based organization
~Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel as needed
~ Hold a valid passport and able to travel abroad when required
~ Technical competencies
~ Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and internet search engines
~ Experience with CRM, data analytics, and donor databases
Development Department
Various OM fields/field leaders
Works either at head office or remotely
