Position Overview:The Operations Director will play a critical role in shaping the future of the NCRA/ANREC by driving business development initiatives, optimizing operational efficiency, and overseeing key projects and contributing to financial strategies. The Operations Director will work closely with the Executive Director and the Board of Directors to align the operational execution of the NCRA with its strategic plan, ensuring sustainable growth and achieving its mission through its vision and values.Key Responsibilities:Strategic Business Development: Develop and implement strategies for new and existing business opportunities, direct new investment by the NCRA, focusing on revenue generation, including sales, fundraising, grant writing, and other financial partnerships. Financial Oversight: Collaborate with the Treasurer and Fundraising and Finance Committee to oversee the organization's financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning to ensure the stability and growth of the association.The Operations Director will be responsible for developing the budget in consultation with the Fundraising and Finance Committee The Operations Director will be responsible for cultivating growth in the association's earned revenues, especially from our social enterprises and ticketed events.Operational Efficiency: Evaluate and improve operational processes and practices to enhance organizational efficiency and effectiveness. Ensure seamless integration and alignment of projects with the organization's strategic objectives and capacity.Fundraising and Grant Writing: Support fundraising and grant writing initiatives, being the primary staff member responsible for financial planning in grants to ensure sustainable capacity. Team Leadership: Provide leadership, direction, and operational management to the staff and volunteers working in the associations earned revenues (sales, events, social enterprises).Personnel Management: Undertake the recruitment, selection, training, supervision, and management of staff and volunteers and assist the Board of Directors in maintaining appropriate human resources and volunteer management policies and practices. Reporting and Compliance: Ensure compliance with all regulatory and legal requirements. Prepare and present regular reports on operational progress, financial status, and project outcomes to the Board of Directors.Monthly reports are to be shared with the Board regarding any pending issues or concernsQuarterly reports are to be shared with the Board, including financial updates and projectionsYearly reports are to be shared with the Board, including pending issues, concerns, financial updates & productions, strategic plans & self-evaluationQualifications:Proven experience in a management role focusing on business development and growth, operational efficiency, and project management.Strong financial acumen and experience in budgeting, financial planning and management, and resource allocation.Demonstrated ability to develop and implement strategic business, change management and operational plans.Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.Experience in fundraising, grant writing, and building partnerships.Knowledge of the campus/community radio sector, copyright issues, and digital distribution platforms is highly desirable.Knowledge and experience in the management of technology-based enterprises is a strong asset.Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team and stakeholders.Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Management, or related field; MBA or equivalent experience is preferred.Knowledge of Not-For-Profit associations or non-profit radio is an asset.Feel that not all of the criteria and experience applies to you?
