What you’ll doAs part of the Enterprise Content Management team at Canadian Tire Corporation, the Product Content Manager plays a critical role in improving content across various channels, brands, and companies. Reporting to the Associate Vice-President of Content Management & Technology, this position involves leading product content programs, ensuring efficient onboarding of products, and maintaining strong search-optimized content for our websites and digital customer experiences.
Lead the product content programs across SportChek, Atmosphere, Marks, and L’Equipeur for our website product pages and other marketing channels.
Lead the product onboarding across websites and work with cross-functional teams to ensure all products are ready for publishing on time and to standards.
Manage a team of Product Content Associate Program Managers, Product Copywriters, and the relationship with our third-party content providers and production partners.
Generate product onboarding and content scorecard reports to share with merchants and cross-functional teams.
Establish best practices and standards for product content by business and brand, optimizing resource allocation and budget efficiency.
Establish and maintain product content and copy style guides and establish product content guidelines for product suppliers.
Establish SEO best-practices for product copy and content with guidance from the SEO team.
Maintain SEO keyword library and track search rank for product pages across websites to maintain strong organic traffic.
Constantly find solutions to complex problems around managing creative, content, and assets across a matrix organization and different companies.
Establish and maintain project schedules, plan resources, provide stakeholders project status updates, and keep project on time, on budget, and of high quality.
Identify opportunities and implement ‘always-on’ product content opportunities across Canadian Tire or for select banners or brands.
8+ years of experience working in content management, eCommerce content, digital or similar environment.
~ University education in communications, business/commerce, languages, or a related field is required.
~ Experience establishing and managing product content standards is required.
~ Strong experience process optimization and change management.
~ Experience with Product Information Management (PIM) and Product Content Management (PCM) solutions (e.g. Stibo STEP and Hybris CCV2) is an asset.
~ Strong presentation, communication, and writing skills are required.
~ A genuine love for the web, marketing, and content is a must.
~ Bilingual candidates are an asset (English and French).
