National Sales Manager

Your pivotal role involves shaping a culture centered around patient-centricity, planning, executional excellence, performance, and a growth mindset. You'll lead in defining strategy collaboratively with a diverse cross-functional team and directly oversee various marketing and sales initiatives.
Given the rapidly evolving competitive landscape in the therapeutic area over the next 3 years, enhancing RAMs' competitive skills, strengthening partnerships with MSLs, and embracing digital adoption will be central to your responsibilities. You'll foster seamless collaboration with marketing, medical, access, diagnostics, insights, PSP, digital, communications, governmental affairs teams, and international counterparts, within a dynamic and entrepreneurial environment as Company's footprint in Canada rapidly expands.
Your tasks include:
- Leading, coaching, motivating, and inspiring a team of RAMs to achieve or exceed patient and sales objectives nationally and in their respective regions
- Developing excellent local business plans aligned with the overarching portfolio strategy
- Ensuring executional excellence through a range of RAM-driven commercial and educational initiatives
- Growing account planning, selling, digital proficiency, and capabilities to enhance impact on HCPs and patients
- Positioning Company as the partner of choice with Key External Experts through relationship-building and regular communication
- Mentoring RAMs for their full growth potential and fostering a culture of growth mindset and coaching
- Ensuring a high level of disease and brand training and expertise among RAMs
- Maximizing cooperation and collaboration between RAMs and cross-functional teams, especially in delivering exceptional customer experiences
- Providing constant field feedback and insights to tailor strategies and action plans to HCP needs
- Collaborating with the brand team to shape the Canadian portfolio brand strategy and resource allocation
- Overseeing the field implementation of OneSource go-to-market model and facilitating access and reimbursement submissions
- Contributing to revenue and expense forecasts and regular business reviews with senior leadership
- Exemplifying corporate values in all actions
You'll need:
- Bachelor's degree in business or scientific field
- 10 years of pharmaceutical industry experience with at least 3 years in sales leadership
- Strong strategic analysis/planning and execution skills with a track record of driving brand growth
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Ability to execute quickly and navigate ambiguity
- High emotional intelligence and ability to lead diverse teams
- Cross-functional experience in areas like marketing, market access, medical, commercial operations, digital, finance, and regulatory
- Project management, planning, and organizational ability
- Experience managing budgets and forecasting
- Experience participating in a launch in the past 5 years
- In-depth clinical, technical, and scientific knowledge
- Effective resource and workload management
- Ability to manage a large geographical territory
- Willingness to travel locally or internationally, occasionally including overnight and weekend trips
We'd prefer:
- Bilingual proficiency in French and English
- Experience in biotech and specialty sales, particularly in hematology/nephrology/oncology or ultra-orphan drugs
- Previous experience in sales management, professional education, digital marketing, customer service models, diagnostic programs, rare diseases, or specialty care
