Purpose of the position: Residence for the elderly offers a warm, comfortable, and safe living environment. Join a family where respect, collaboration, and humanity are integral values. We hire good-hearted people with strong team spirit and a commitment to customer service. Currently, we are looking for a Maintenance Director. This is a permanent full-time position requiring 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday with weekends as needed.
Specifically, your daily responsibilities will include:
- Schedule and ensure that preventive maintenance is performed on equipment
- Supervise the maintenance of the equipment
- Maintain and clean the premises
- Manage apartment renovations in accordance with the program established by general management/the general manager
- Assist residents with any deficiencies related to services provided by the residence
- Communicate maintenance needs for materials, products, and building upkeep to the immediate superior
- Actively participate in various company committees
- Know and apply company policies and procedures
- Organize or perform all other related tasks regarding the maintenance department, as required by the immediate superior
- Be available to respond to emergencies
- Manage the maintenance, upkeep, and laundry team
The ideal person has:

- Ability to analyze, solve problems, and make decisions
- Ability to manage and resolve emergency situations

- Punctuality and reliability
Required qualifications:
- A DEP in general building maintenance (an asset)
- A minimum of 2-3 years experience
- A working knowledge of building maintenance (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, etc.)
- Knowledge of plumbing, electrical, and minor repairs
- Experience in personnel management
- A good working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook (an asset)
