Reporting to the Director of Maintenance, the Assistant Director of Maintenance is responsible for coordinating and overseeing maintenance activities within the hotel. The incumbent in this position plays a crucial role in preserving the establishment's infrastructure and equipment, as well as in training maintenance staff.
Coordinate and supervise preventive and corrective maintenance activities in the hotel.
Perform daily maintenance tasks, including repairing basic equipment and systems.
Collaborate with the Director of Maintenance to plan and allocate tasks within the maintenance team to ensure 24/7 coverage in case of emergencies.
Monitor maintenance procedures and preventive maintenance schedules.
Train and mentor maintenance personnel, ensuring they adhere to safety standards and best practices.
Manage inventories of spare parts and tools necessary for maintenance.
Work closely with other departments to ensure maintenance needs are considered in the hotel's activity planning.
Identify and promptly resolve technical issues and breakdowns, minimizing disruptions to guests.
Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, costs, and team performance.
Ensure compliance with hotel safety policies and procedures.
Previous experience in a maintenance role, preferably in the hospitality industry.
Strong technical skills in electricity, plumbing, mechanics, and other areas of general maintenance.
Ability to supervise and lead a team, with excellent communication and management skills.
Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Flexibility to work on a variable schedule, including weekends and holidays if necessary.
