We are looking for a Junior Property Manager to join our London Residential Team. This exciting opportunity will be responsible for overseeing property operations within Ontario’s First Community Powered by the Sun – West 5 rental community. This role is pivotal in fostering a culture of exceptional customer service, ensuring top-tier maintenance service, and delivering high-quality rental products.

About the Role
  • Manage the residential rental assets of West 5, including Helio, town homes, Spektra, and any future rental properties.
  • Lead leasing initiatives, developing and executing strategies for new assets to maximize occupancy rates. Implement creative marketing tactics to attract tenants and boost leasing activity. Coordinate with teams to ensure smooth property operations during lease-up phases.
  • Oversee leasing process from prospecting to move-in, prioritizing tenant satisfaction. Monitor market trends and adjust strategies accordingly. Collaborate with stakeholders to improve efficiency and processes.
  • Support and supervise service teams across all locations, ensuring adherence to Sifton standards and fostering a culture of learning and growth.
  • Utilize technology effectively, particularly SalesForce, to streamline services, enhance employee engagement, and improve operational efficiency.
  • Promote customer events and liaise with the Customer Experience team to enhance resident engagement and amenity usage including the community garden and Legacy Square.
  • Maintain current contracts and building logs for all building equipment, including generators, boilers, fire safety equipment, HVAC, waste disposal and laundry equipment.
  • Ensure use of “green” and eco-friendly products and practices in the buildings and continue the development of “green” building operation protocols.
  • Ensure compliance with Fire Safety code, maintain culture of fire safety education, ensure teams receive training and work cooperatively with Fire Department to help establish Sifton as an industry leader in fire safety effectiveness.
  • Participate and stay current with industry knowledge to assist with the evolution of Sifton practices.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Experience
  • 1-3 years of experience in Property Management or a related field.
  • Proficiency in customer relationship management with a focus on ensuring elevated customer satisfaction.
  • Familiarity with the Residential Tenancies Act, Fire Code, and Occupational Health & Safety Act.
  • Proven leadership skills with the ability to build and lead high-performing teams.
  • Collaborative and hands-on approach, capable of working effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, adept at problem-solving.
  • Highly adaptable, accountable, with effective time management and prioritization abilities.
  • Demonstrated experience with SalesForce or similar CRM/Property Management software.
  • Intermediate proficiency in Word, Excel, Outlook, and related computer applications.
  • Flexibility in schedule, including availability for additional or after-hours work, as well as on-call duties (every other week and vacation).
  • Possession of a valid driver's license and a reliable vehicle.
