Our growing company is looking for a motivated Control System Service Specialist to be part of the Company Operations Department. This role is best suited for an individual who has mechanical, controls, electronics, electrical or similar technical credentials with previous experience in HVAC industry. Preference will be given to candidates with mechanical, controls and electrical experience. The suitable candidate will have proven HVAC design knowledge, HVAC controls knowledge along with experience in service and construction industry.
Reporting to the Service Supervisor, the Control System Service Specialist will work closely with the service coordinator to address and follow up on daily service tickets and issues. Scheduled site services will be assigned to customer accounts, and will include completing annual, semi-annual or other related service tasks, including service calls. Working closely with the sales team to generate new service contracts, renewals, recommendations for additional services including retrofit projects, service conversion and help to address service customers’ expectations and service needs. The Control System Service Specialist may from time to time be deployed to assist with a new construction project if necessary and time allowing considering the primary responsibilities being in the service department.
The Company is currently expanding our services offerings to include remote building management operator services such as remote diagnostics, energy optimization, operational technology monitoring, managed services, and systems integration. Leveraging progressive enterprise solution tools to help buildings operate efficiently and comfortably.
POSITION RESPONSIBLITIES INCLUDE:
General
· Conduct Service Inspections, calibration, testing and operational verification of DDC controlled equipment.
· Completing service-related repair, replacement and diagnostic work
· New installation of DDC controllers, and equipment for retrofit, upgrade or expansion projects.
· Programming and commissioning of DDC control equipment.
· Retrofit job start up and modifications.
· New construction job start-up and commissioning assistance as needed
· Providing customer recommendations and assistance with quote preparation
· Building operator training and work closely with customers and contractors
Service Contracts
· Perform preventative, corrective DDC maintenance based on service contract agreement and generate new opportunities for retrofit or expansion of the existing building management system.
· Oversees, verifies and ensures all service Task are being completed correctly and where necessary, completes technical and engineering tasks to ensure service tasks are completed correctly
· Ensure service reports are completed in a timely manner
Retrofit Projects
· Provides estimate scope of work for small repairs and retrofits to Sale Team and assist with preparation of proposal to the customer where possible
· Assist and provide support to retrofit PM with appropriate resource allocation for service retrofit projects.
Other
· Participates in recruiting and hiring when necessary. OC has a referral bonus incentive.
· Ensure and endorse positive relationships between various teams.
· Work to ensure a positive work culture in the company and built lively team collaboration
· Provide expertise and input to generate service solutions to new and existing customers.
· Representing Olympic Controls with customers and industry stakeholders
· Review, provide feedback and when necessary, update service process in order to improve delivery
Required qualifications or competencies:
· Excellent Communication Skills
Mechanical HVAC & Refrigeration expertise, Controls Engineering, Electronics, networking & Computer
Engineering
· Strong understanding of HVAC system operations
· 3+ years of professional experience in HVAC or related fields
· Experience within service a environment and customer relations
· Excellent communication skills
· Self-motivated, driven, detailed oriented and well organized.
· Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced business environment.
· Keen to learn and follow through on actions
