Job Description

Contiem, Inc. has been the trusted content partner for companies and organizations such as American Express, the U.S. Federal Government, The Home Depot, UnitedHealthcare, Cisco Systems, Eaton, eBay, The Boeing Company, and many more. We are driven to be the best in our industry, continually challenging the status quo and ourselves; we are uniquely focused on providing effective content solutions designed to help our clients achieve their business objectives.

Contiem is unlike any other company. Not only do we have a world-class Component Content Management System (CCMS) platform — RSuite — we help companies create exceptional content — technical documentation, eLearning, online help, visualizations, and training materials — allowing us to combine the content operational needs with technology innovation to deliver user experience excellence.

The Sr. VP of Products & Engineering (Software) is responsible for the management, strategy, definition, and execution of Contiem software products. In this position, the Sr. VP provides efficient and effective technical and programmatic leadership to ensure Contiem products meet current and future growing client needs.

We are looking for an innovative, data-centric, customer-focused individual who is passionate about building exceptional products and shaping our emerging product and development organization. As the leader of Product Management, you will help shape and expand our Authoring, Content Management, and Content Consumer products — DocumentX, HelpStudio, RSuite, Congility, Topleaf, etc. In this role, you will work closely with internal stakeholders from marketing to sales and other departments as well as with our external customers, commercial and vendor partners to deliver digital products to bring suppliers, buyers, and service providers together to do business.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for a unified product roadmap and strategic vision, working with Corporate Leadership and Product Managers to align our organizational goals and objectives.
  • Establish and maintain robust processes for product development, including requirements gathering, prioritization, sprint planning, and release management.
  • Define and manage the individual product roadmaps, balancing features and enhancements with customer feedback, business impact, technical feasibility, and resource constraints.
  • Oversee the engineering team, providing leadership, guidance, and mentorship to ensure the successful delivery of high-quality products on time and within budget.
  • Drive a culture of innovation, collaboration, continuous improvement, and technical excellence, implementing best practices, processes, and tools to optimize product development workflows and engineering efficiency.
  • Contribute to business development for new product proposals, assessing customer needs and market opportunities to develop new solutions and adapt existing value propositions to solve user needs.
  • Partner closely with stakeholders across the organization, including sales, marketing, and customer success, to ensure alignment of achievable go-to-market strategies, competitive product positioning, and monetization strategies.
  • Ensure seamless product launches and product releases including developing a product release methodology.
  • Build and nurture strong relationships with key customers, partners, and analysts gathering feedback to drive product improvements and customer satisfaction.
  • Create performance metrics for user engagement and product performance to show the value to our buyers, sellers, and internal stakeholders and drive teams to achieve them.
  • Communicate clearly and crisply with executive and management stakeholders and drive alignment across multiple teams and organizations through formal operational processes and informal communication.
  • Work with Finance to manage and oversee the global product development budgets, ensuring responsible resource allocation and cost-effective product development.
  • Oversee the management of third-party OEM vendors.
  • Play an active role in the industry and represent the Contiem Group solutions and differentiating strategies with partners and standardization bodies like the DITA, S1000D and JATS.
  • Stay abreast of emerging technologies, industry trends, market dynamics, competitive analysis, and customer research to evaluate their potential impact on our product strategy and roadmap.
  • For regulatory compliance, stay informed about evolving privacy and data protection regulations, ensuring that our products and practices are compliant.
  • Provide strategic guidance and mentorship to team members, fostering their professional growth and development.

Work Location & Hours:
