The Senior Project Manager will lead, manage, and execute complex construction and utilities infrastructure projects across Canada. The ideal candidate will oversee project priorities and milestones, working closely with the senior leadership team, field operations, clients, and other key stakeholders to ensure the successful completion of each project. Our client is looking for a strategic thinker with exceptional leadership skills and a strong commitment to delivering high-quality results on time and within budget.
Lead and develop project management processes and methods for each project, with a focus on maintaining and/or improving safety management, construction processes and financial management.
Provide clear direction to project teams, fostering collaboration and maintaining alignment with client requirements and company standards.
Work alongside the Construction Management Office (CMO) and Project Management Office (PMO) to ensure key functional initiatives are met, including timeline adherence, budget control and quality management.
Act a key primary contact for clients throughout project execution, provide accurate reporting, and being able to effectively identify and communicate scope and schedule changes.
Support project planning in identifying contract requirements, assessing and identifying potential risks ensuring project readiness and delivery.
Effectively measure project performance, able to effectively report performance and milestone to key stakeholders including senior leadership and clients.
Collaborate with Business Development to develop and refine strategies for sourcing and winning major projects, while ensuring client relationships and new opportunities are aligned with organizational and departmental strategic initiatives.
Minimum 10 years experience in a linear construction management, including electrical transmission, pipeline and/or industrial construction.
Proven and progressive full-cycle project management experience in major construction projects.
Post-secondary degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field of study would be considered an asset.
Demonstrated ability to lead and execute multiple projects simultaneously to completion.
Exceptional knowledge of project management methodologies, cost analysis and bidding strategies.
Strong financial acumen, emphasizing accountability and effective budget management.
Travel to project site is required, up to 70% of the time.
