We excel in providing exceptional service with tailored solutions.Role DescriptionThe Dispatcher role at Artohlam located in Mississauga, ON is a full-time, on-site position. The Dispatcher will be responsible for coordinating the daily operations of the company, including scheduling, dispatching, and tracking of shipments. The candidate will be responsible for providing a high level of customer service to all accounts while scheduling company drivers to service customers. The Dispatcher will also be responsible for communicating with customers, vendors, and other stakeholders to ensure that shipments are delivered on time and in accordance with company policies along with coordinating and managing the dispatch of drivers and planning efficient, cost-effective load assignments. This position requires strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills. Monitor/Schedule the pick-ups from our clientsData Entry create and handle shipping documentsLiaison between carriers, clients and Artohlam staffTrack and Trace, communicate updatesOperational conflict resolution throughout the networkParticipate in the network’s growth and improvementsResearch and prepare submissions for new transport suppliers’ partnershipsEstablish strong communication and partnership with the clientsCoordinate and manage the dispatch of drivers, ensuring timely and efficient transportation of loads.Develop and optimize load plans to maximize driver productivity, minimize empty miles, and reduce overall transportation costs.Monitor driver performance, hours of service, and route adherence, and adjust plans as necessary to address any issues or changes in customer requirements.Communicate effectively with drivers, providing clear instructions, addressing any concerns, and maintaining a positive and professional relationship.Collaborate with the sales and customer service teams to ensure accurate and timely information on customer orders, special requests, and delivery requirements.Utilize transportation management software and other tools to track shipments, optimize routing, and maintain accurate records.Ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local transportation regulations and company policies.Proactively identify and address potential issues, such as delays, equipment breakdowns, or weather-related disruptions, to minimize their impact on operations.Provide regular updates to management on dispatch and load planning performance, challenges, and opportunities for improvement.Continuously seek opportunities to enhance efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and overall service quality.QualificationsExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsStrong organizational and problem-solving skillsAbility to work independently and as part of a teamProficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other related softwareKnowledge of transportation and logistics industryKnowledge of safety regulations and proceduresAbility to multitask and prioritize tasksAbility to work in a fast-paced environmentRelevant experience in a similar roleValid driver’s license and clean driving recordStrong knowledge of transportation regulations, including hours of service, weight limits, and safety requirements.In addition to the above qualifications, any experience in customer service, data entry, and/or dispatch operations would be beneficial.
