Project Manager - Edmonton Building Group
The Edmonton area is looking for experienced Project Managers to work on some of Alberta's largest career defining projects. Opportunities include a high-profile hotel expansion and Defense Canada's new home for the F35 Fighter Jets.
You as a Planner and Scheduler for our Edmonton Building Group will:
# Develop a full Critical Path Method (CPM) logic generated baseline schedules for projects.
# Participate in the planning and schedule preparation process during pursuits and respond to RFP documents in projects.
# Prior to project start, create and revise preliminary master schedules and proposal for Operations detailing the sequence of all work to be performed to ensure schedule is realistic and competitive.
# Evaluate construction progress and perform regular progress updates (bi-weekly or monthly) and prepare the reports for evaluation of the schedule health.
# Maintain the integrity of the master schedule for each project and identify and record the impact of work performed according to the schedule.
# Prepare and maintain the project schedule log on a regular basis.
# Participate in developing and maintaining a database of construction productivity rates, procurement durations, lead times and project risk items.
# Identify unplanned events (new changes/ unforeseen conditions) and incorporate their impacts into the schedule.
# Develop as-built versus as-planned schedules to provide a manageable “snapshot” comparison of the project schedule.

Is this the right role for you?
You have:
A construction-related degree/diploma and three years of construction scheduling experience or an equivalent combination of technical training and experience.
Experience working with institutional, commercial, industrial, and residential projects.
A working knowledge of computer scheduling program Primavera P6.
Strong communication skills - oral and written.
Self-motivated with good organizational skills.
Ability to work well with others as a team.
