For more information: Position Summary: This new role at JUMP Math, the Video Content Creator, will report to the Manager, Instructional Design and is responsible for creating video math lessons using existing JUMP Math digital lesson slides (Power Point). These video lessons are being made to develop a library of JUMP Math Kindergarten to Grade 8 math lessons (approximately 45-50 minutes each) that are recorded on video for students and teachers to view for education and training purposes. The Video Content Creator will record these math lessons in 5-10min video chunks. These recorded JUMP Math video lessons are also used by Instructional Designers as content for the creation of digital interactive modules on special math topics created with e-learning software (Storyline 360 by Articulate) and then uploaded to the new JUMP Math Lab ( for use by teachers and students. The Video Content Creator will use JUMP Math Power Point digital lesson slide presentations and video software recording their screen and voice as they teach each lesson, and edit down the video in post-production as required. This position collaborates closely with subject matter experts (SMEs) and other key stakeholders. Location of Work: This role can be located anywhere in Canada and is intended to be mainly remote.Salary Range: $55K to $65K based on experience plus benefits. Avoiding a monotone lecture style of teaching.Write simple math equations and words on screen on writing tablet Responsible for editing your videos and ensure that changes will be made based on feedback providedCollaborate with SMEs to create curriculum aligned video lessonsWork alongside with instructional designers to create student facing questions that work in a Learning Management System (LMS) environmentSkills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skillsNeat handwriting skills which is legible and consistentComfortable learning new software and technology (training will be provided)Personal Attributes: Attention to detailAdaptable/flexibleConfidentAccountablePatientProblem solverTeam playerPositive can-do attitudeEducation and Experience (minimums): A post-secondary diploma; or equivalent work experiencePrevious experience teaching or tutoring students is an assetA passion for education and the possibilities of math education to change livesAble to work remotely
