Position Summary :


This new role at JUMP Math, the Video Content Creator, will report to the Manager, Instructional Design and is responsible for creating video math lessons using existing JUMP Math digital lesson slides (Power Point). These video lessons are being made to develop a library of JUMP Math Kindergarten to Grade 8 math lessons (approximately 45-50 minutes each) that are recorded on video for students and teachers to view for education and training purposes. The Video Content Creator will record these math lessons in 5-10min video chunks.


These recorded JUMP Math video lessons are also used by Instructional Designers as content for the creation of digital interactive modules on special math topics created with e-learning software (Storyline 360 by Articulate) and then uploaded to the new JUMP Math Lab ( ) for use by teachers and students. The Video Content Creator will use JUMP Math Power Point digital lesson slide presentations and video software recording their screen and voice as they teach each lesson, and edit down the video in post-production as required. This position collaborates closely with subject matter experts (SMEs) and other key stakeholders.


Location of Work: This role can be located anywhere in Canada and is intended to be mainly remote.


Salary Range: $55K to $65K based on experience plus benefits. This is a full-time 1 year contract.

Key Accountabilities:

  • To create videos of K-8 math lessons using existing JUMP Math digital lesson slides
  • Comfortable and able to record your own videos, using screen capture and voice recording overlay
  • Voice a confident, enthusiastic, and welcoming persona in video lessons. Avoiding a monotone lecture style of teaching.
  • Write simple math equations and words on screen on writing tablet
  • Responsible for editing your videos and ensure that changes will be made based on feedback provided
  • Collaborate with SMEs to create curriculum aligned video lessons
  • Work alongside with instructional designers to create student facing questions that work in a Learning Management System (LMS) environment
