Utility Fleet Mechanic - Surrey Number of positions: 1 Job Location: Surrey Garage Employment type: Permanent Region: Lower Mainland Hours of work: Full-time (37.5 hrs/wk) Flexible Work Role: Field Hourly Rate: $ 48.01 What you'll do * As per IBEW Collective Agreement.
* A Utility Fleet Mechanic repairs, maintains, modifies and commissions vehicles and equipment, including aerial devices.
* This includes using telematics to proactively manage maintenance. What you bring * As per IBEW Collective Agreement.
* Must be a red seal certified Automotive Service Technician, Heavy Duty Equipment Technician, and/or Truck and
Transport Mechanic.
* Utility Fleet Mechanics will be provided Utility Fleet Mechanic (UFM) training and become UFM certified.
* A Utility Fleet Mechanic may be assisted by a Driver/Helper.
* A valid B.C. driver's licence Class 3 with air brake endorsement or ability to obtain same.

ca * This position will service vehicles at the Surrey Vehicle Garage and various locations, as required. * All current Automotive Red Seal VT’s are expected to obtain their Commercial Truck & Transport Red Seal. *All Utility Fleet Mechanic are expected to obtain their Commercial Vehicle Inspector certification and Utility Fleet Mechanic
certified. * You may be required to rotate between shifts in accordance with Article 62.3A of the IBEW Collective Agreement. Shifts
are Day Shift: 7:30 AM to 3:30 PM; Afternoon Shift 4:00 PM to 12:00. * A written exam and a hands on test covering technical, safety, and administrative skills may form part of the selection
process. * Applicants’ written exam results will be kept on file for a 12 month period and re-used for other MES selection processes
