Leading brands include Visioneering, Certolux, Birchwood, ConTech and Intense brands. We manufacture a complete line of energy efficient and IoT ready lighting solutions for industrial, commercial, medical, institutional and architectural applications to name a few. The role will lead a team of industry leading Lighting agents under their responsibility.SUMMARY OF POSITION:We are looking to add a strategic, focused and results oriented individual to assume a Specification Sales position for the Greater Toronto Area. The ideal candidate will focus their efforts on growth by expanding Leviton Lighting Canada market reach and channels within the Greater Toronto Area. The successful candidate will have previous proven lighting and controls experience with specific knowledge of the LED landscape. The Sales Specialist will have strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to clearly articulate objectives and make presentations to a multitude of audience types including Specification, Engineering, Agents, Contractors and Distributors.ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIESDevelop an annual sales plan in conjunction with corporate sales and budget goalsIdentify sales prospects and call on both new and existing accounts to increase Leviton Lighting Canada’s sales and brand awarenessFollow up on new leads and referrals.Prepare and deliver presentations, proposals and sales contracts.Develop the technical expertise necessary to sell Leviton Lighting Canada’s productsIdentify and resolve client concerns. Service customers in an industry leading fashionCoordinate with inside sales staff to accomplish the work required to close sales.Develop and implement special sales activities.Report activities of the sales territory to the Regional Sales ManagerParticipate in sales meetings and marketing events such as seminars and trade shows.Visibility requires maintaining and providing a positive and professional company image.Assist with the development and continuous improvement of the overall sales business planAll other duties as may be assigned. QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCEMinimum of 3 years’ sales experience within the lighting industry - with emphasis on LED lighting salesExcellent working knowledge of lighting controls and LED lightingExperience with healthcare, institutional and correctional facility lighting preferredOutstanding written and verbal communication and presentation skills as well as negotiation skillsProven track record of high sales performance, including meeting/exceeding sales targets, or very recognizable sales skills with potential to enhanceHigh level of comfort in communicating with every level of an organization from top level executives to field personnelAbility and desire to learn technically complex products, demonstrated by prior successAbility to handle difficult situations with diplomacy & respectAbility to be strategic and organized in achieving goals and targets.Computer Proficiency and Strong practical knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel & PowerPoint) & Salesforce (CRM)Detail oriented with strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize multiple tasksAbility to maintain confidentiality of proprietary and sensitive business information.Valid driver’s license & insuranceEDUCATIONLC (Lighting Certified) Preferred.Interested applicants may send their resume to hr@viscor.com.We will accommodate the needs of people with disabilities during the recruitment process.
