We aim to use the ReSOLVE platform to improve the way medicines are discovered and developed, with the ultimate goal of restoring the health of people facing serious illnesses.Position overview:Ventus is seeking an experienced translational scientist to lead the design and execution of biomarker strategies in support of our early and late-stage research programs. The candidate will be responsible for the development of translational biomarker approaches that measure target engagement, pharmacodynamics and disease pathology. As a strategic leader within a multidisciplinary team, the candidate will ensure that biomarker strategies align with the most current understanding of inflammatory disease biology and enable early clinical proof-of-concept. The candidate is expected to take a hands-on approach in the pre-clinical validation of such approaches using disease biospecimens. This role is a unique opportunity to work at the interface of discovery and development while championing biomarker-initiatives that have a direct impact on novel clinical study design.Responsibilities:Lead efforts to develop and implement translational biomarker strategies that assess proof of mechanism, establish early signs of efficacy and enable proof of concept studiesPartner with preclinical scientists to design and execute translational research to validate biomarker strategiesCollaborate with research and clinical teams to ensure the integration of biomarker discoveries into the design of early clinical studiesOversee clinical validation of biomarker assays and collaborate with clinical pharmacology in the analysis of clinical biomarker studiesContribute to discovery pipeline as a biology team representativeRequirements:PhD with primary focus in Immunology with at least 8 years of pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry experienceExperience in small molecule drug discovery and program leadershipExperience in the identification and validation of pharmacodynamic and disease biomarkers, as well as their clinical implementationAbility to drive and influence projects from discovery through early clinical development with a focus on the identification of indications and development of biomarker strategies that enable early proof-of-conceptOutstanding analytical, research and organizational skillsStrong interpersonal, influencing, and collaboration skillsAbility to prioritize, and be highly productive and flexible in a fast-paced, team-oriented environmentAbility to communicate scientific results to diverse audiences, in a clear and concise manner__________________________________________________________________A propos de nous :Nous sommes une société biopharmaceutique au stade clinique qui utilise sa plateforme exclusive de chimie computationnelle basée sur l'apprentissage automatique pour développer des traitements différenciés à base de petites molécules dans les domaines de l'immunologie, de l'inflammation et de la neurologie.Notre plateforme propriétaire de découverte de médicaments, ReSOLVE™, nous donne la capacité de découvrir et de développer des médicaments grâce à des connaissances uniques sur les cibles protéiques et de créer des plans dynamiques qui peuvent guider le développement de thérapies différenciées à un rythme rapide. Le candidat sera responsable du développement d'approches de biomarqueurs translationnels qui mesurent l'engagement de la cible, la pharmacodynamique et la pathologie de la maladie. En tant que leader stratégique au sein d'une équipe multidisciplinaire, le candidat veillera à ce que les stratégies de biomarqueurs s'alignent sur la compréhension la plus récente de la biologie des maladies inflammatoires et permettent une preuve de concept clinique précoce. On attend du candidat qu'il adopte une approche pratique de la validation préclinique de ces approches en utilisant des échantillons biologiques de la maladie.
