The preferred candidate will be part of a dynamic and innovative consulting firm.Responsibilities:Lead Civil Engineering projects, creating, managing, and preparing engineering designs, studies, and reports for land development and municipal infrastructure projects.Coordinate and assist in the preparation of documents required for approvals, prepare development and construction cost estimates, tender documents, and contracts.Coordinate with team members to ensure schedules, budgets, and quality standards are achieved.Provide non-technical guidance and support to team members.Manage client relationships and projects to ensure client expectations and project performance goals are being met.Develop new business opportunities and establish strategic relationships with key clients, agencies, and partners.Provide construction contract administration for high-value or important projects.Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and quality standards.Coordinate with other departments and stakeholders to ensure successful group operation.Identify and implement process improvements with the broader team to increase efficiency and productivity.Completing the required safety forms for each project that staff are working on and ensuring that safety policies and procedures are being followed by themselves and the team.Some travel throughout British Columbia may be required in this position.Qualifications:A minimum of a BSc degree in Civil Engineering from a recognized university with at least 12 years of relevant, Canadian work experience.Must be registered, or be eligible to register, as a Professional Engineer in BC.Ability to design all municipal civil infrastructure, including but not limited to sites, roads, water, wastewater, stormwater, and grading.Proven success leading project teams of engineers and technologists.Excellent Project Management skills, preference given to those with PMP certification.Strong work ethic with the desire to excel and achieve success for the firm, the client, and the team.Valid Class 5 driver’s license (or equivalent) and access to a vehicle.Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.Strong analytical and detail-oriented skills along with exceptional time management skills.Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
