It also includes adjusting and maintaining new and existing production equipment, ensuring the function of all production lines, and being responsible for the safe operation of plant refrigeration systems.Main responsibilities Troubleshoot breakdowns, identify causes, and make necessary repairsTest repaired equipment or componentsEnsure proper operation of equipment after an interventionComplete work orders and carry out necessary follow-up workClean and lubricate pumps, compressors, and other equipmentCarry out the mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, electrical, and electronic inspection of equipmentParticipate in the improvement of the preventive maintenance program for equipmentRead drawings and diagrams to determine how to proceedInstall, align, disassemble, and move stationary industrial machinery or mechanical equipment (pumps, fans, tanks, conveyors, etc.)Responsible for safe operation plant refrigeration systemsResponsible for maintaining plant refrigeration system logbooksWork with contractors as neededComply with OHS policies and procedures, good manufacturing practices, and HACCPPerform other related dutiesSkills and abilitiesRequires at least 3 years of experience in a similar positionRed Seal Industrial Electrician Certification4th Class Power Engineer Certificate of QualificationStrong knowledge of electricity, hydraulics, pneumatics, and mechanicsAutomation and PLC experience is an assetWelding skills (TIG, MIG and stainless steel) is an assetAbility to work in tight spaces, above ceilings, on ladders, on scaffolding, and on aerial work platformsMastery of spoken and written EnglishKnowledge of HACCP standards is an assetPossess a sense of urgency and ability to work under pressurePossess a safety consciousnessAbility to problem solve and trouble shootSense of organization and priority managementTeamwork orientedMeticulous, detail-oriented, and careful to double-checkAdaptabilityMore about VegproVegpro International Inc. is the largest grower-packer of baby lettuces and vegetables in Canada.
