Position Overview We are seeking an experienced and strategic Vice President of Operations to lead and optimize our operational functions across the organization. Career Progression Path This position is designed as a stepping stone to Chief Operating Officer. Establish operational excellence across customer success, support, and implementation; Partner with executive leadership to develop and execute operational strategies that align with company growth objectives and customer success goals
Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and operational metrics to drive continuous improvement
Oversee customer success, technical support, implementation, and onboarding operations to ensure exceptional customer experiences
Design and implement scalable processes for customer acquisition, onboarding, and retention
Optimize platform performance, reliability, and uptime to meet SLA commitments
Drive operational efficiency across departments through process improvement and automation initiatives
Build, lead, and mentor high-performing operational teams including customer success, technical support, implementation specialists, and operations managers
Foster a culture of accountability, innovation, and customer-centricity across all operational functions
Develop talent management strategies including hiring, training, performance management, and succession planning
Customer Success & Support
Ensure high level customer support performance across email, phone, and live chat channels
Develop and implement customer success strategies that drive product adoption, engagement, and retention
Analyze customer feedback and usage data to identify opportunities for improvement and growth
Build scalable onboarding programs with dedicated specialists to ensure smooth customer transitions
Achieve and maintain best-in-class NPS scores and customer retention rates
Provide high level oversight on technical operations, infrastructure, and platform reliability for our cloud-based SaaS solution
Implement and maintain tools and systems that support operational efficiency and data-driven decision making
Ensure security, compliance, and data protection standards are met across all operational processes
Financial Management & Business Operations
Develop and manage operational budgets across all departments under your purview
Identify opportunities for cost optimization while maintaining service quality
Provide regular reporting on operational performance, financial metrics, and strategic initiatives to executive leadership
Collaborate with sales to optimize the customer acquisition and conversion funnel
Develop pricing and packaging strategies in partnership with product and finance teams
10+ years of progressive operational leadership experience, with at least 5 years in a senior operations role at a SaaS or technology company
~ Experience building and leading customer success, support, and implementation teams
~ Exceptional leadership skills with experience managing and developing cross-functional teams
~ Data-driven decision maker with strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
~ Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills with executive presence
~ Bachelor's degree in Business, Operations Management, Engineering, or related field (MBA preferred)
Experience in the construction technology, project management software, or field services industry
Background in B2B SaaS companies serving SMB and mid-market customers
Previous experience as VP Operations with demonstrated readiness for COO role
Familiarity with construction workflows, safety compliance, and project management methodologies
Track record of implementing process improvements that resulted in measurable efficiency gains
Experience managing P&L responsibility for operational units
Board presentation experience and strategic planning capabilities
