Our head office based in Kingsville ON is currently seeking a Human Resources Generalist to join our team. The essential function of this position is to process payroll and support and execute the recruitment & selection and employee relations functions of the Kingsville facility.Values: To perform the job successfully, the incumbent’s behavior must be consistent with the PRIDE values expected of all Mastronardi Produce employees: be Passionate; have Respect; be Innovative; be Driven and strive for Excellence. Primary Responsibilities:Process weekly payroll for hourly and salaried employeesUpdate job requirements; create postings; conduct research to attract candidates based on position requirements; review applications/resumesSchedule and interview job applicants; evaluate applicant skills and make recommendations regarding applicants’ qualificationsDevelop and maintain relationships with employment agencies, universities and other recruitment sourcesOrganize and attend job fairsPrepare background checks and job offer paperworkTrack recruitment effortsManage employee relations including acting as a liaison between employees and managementParticipate in company events, town halls and training sessionsProvide advice, assistance, coaching and follow-up on company policies, procedures and documentationCoordinate the resolution of specific policy-related and procedural inquiriesConduct investigationsUtilize human resource databases, computer software systems and manual filing systemsMonitor implementation of policies and oversee complianceAssist in the planning and execution of new company initiatives and policiesWork in conjunction with other HR team members to ensure Quality of Service Education/Background Requirements:University or College required, HR degree preferredAt least 2 years’ experience in HR related work and at least two years recruiting experience requiredNumber of years of experience and if it is required or desiredCHRP or CHRL preferred Specific Knowledge, Skills and Abilities RequiredPayroll processingKnowledge of Human Resources Disciplines, Employment Standards Act, Privacy and Human Rights LawsStrong organizational and time management skillsDemonstrated confidentiality with employee and company information Working Conditions:Normal office environmentMust be capable of lifting up to 30 lbs.Position requires sitting, standing, walking and bending on a regular basisMust have manual dexterity to perform computer skills Please note: Mastronardi Produce has accommodation processes and policies in place and provides accommodation for employees with disabilities.
