Ensure safety protocols are aligned with the company Health and Safety Management System, regulatory requirements, and client’s expectations.Conduct regular formal and informal site inspections to identify potential hazards and assess safety risks.Lead investigations into safety related events such as: near misses, medical aid incidents, property damage incidents and other serious events.Stay current on regulatory change and best practices in the construction industry.Demonstrated knowledge and experience with local, provincial, and federal laws and the government compliance regulations including: MLITSD and WSIB etc.Ability to be responsive and persuasive at all levels of the organization.Excellent communication, analytical and organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects/priorities.Strong attention to detail, customer focus and sense of urgency to the project team and client.Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal skills.Ability to coach employees and management through complex issues and make recommendations.Perform work safely and effectively.
