By leveraging digital incentives and distributed computing, the Bittensor network is able to connect and coordinate a global supply of computing power and human ingenuity, while facilitating permissionless participation, transparent collaboration, and fair compensation.Job DescriptionThe Opentensor Foundation is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Controller to manage and oversee our financial operations. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in a cryptocurrency, blockchain, or tech company, coupled with strong financial analytical skills. The Controller will be responsible for financial analysis, modeling, forecasting, budgeting, and ensuring compliance with Canadian tax laws and international regulations. This role demands excellent communication and negotiation skills, as well as the ability to manage relationships with external financial vendors.Key Responsibilities:Manage all aspects of financial reporting, including financial statements, balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.Develop and implement financial strategies, plans, and budgets to support the Foundation's goals and objectives.Conduct financial analysis, modeling, and forecasting to guide strategic decision-making.Oversee budgeting processes and ensure adherence to financial plans.Perform trend analysis and cost management to optimize financial performance.Manage cash flow to ensure the financial stability of the organization.Coordinate and manage internal and external audits.Ensure compliance with international regulatory standards and Canadian tax laws.Assess and manage financial risks, including developing risk mitigation strategies.Utilize Quickbooks for efficient financial management.Ensure compliance with GAAP accounting principles and IFRS certification standards.Communicate financial performance and insights to senior management and stakeholders.Negotiate and manage relationships with outside financial vendors and service providers.Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; MBA degree preferred.Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation or Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification required.IFRS (International Financial Reporting Standards) certification preferred.Proven experience in the cryptocurrency, blockchain, or tech industry.Extensive experience of financial analysis, financial modeling, forecasting, budgeting, and trend analysis.Strong experience of cost management, cash flow management, and audit processes.In-depth knowledge of international regulatory standards and Canadian tax laws is a bonus.Proficiency with Quickbooks required.Experience with ERP software is a plus.
