Key Responsibilities Oversee all surveying activities related to construction projects, including boundary surveys, topographic surveys, and as-built surveys. Lead and manage survey teams, including surveyors and technicians, assigning tasks, and ensuring work is completed accurately and on time. Maintain and calibrate surveying equipment, ensuring proper functioning and accuracy for field operations. Coordinate the collection and analysis of survey data, ensuring accuracy and reliability in measurements and calculations. Implement quality control measures to ensure the accuracy and integrity of survey data and reports. Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to provide survey support and accurate data for project planning and execution. Ensure surveying activities comply with industry standards, legal requirements, and safety regulations. Prepare and maintain accurate survey records, maps, and reports documenting survey findings and land-related information. Manage surveying budgets, resources, and procurement of survey materials as needed for projects. Ability to perform in a fast-paced environment under different weather and environmental conditions including noise, dust, cold and hot weather, etc. Key Qualifications/Requirements Bachelor’s degree in surveying, civil engineering, or a related field, professional licensure or certification in advantageous. 8 years of experience in land surveying, with proven experience in a managerial or supervisory role within the construction industry. Ontario Land Surveyor experience considered an asset. Proficiency in surveying instruments, software and geographic information systems (GIS). Strong knowledge of surveying techniques, land laws, and regulations. Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced construction environment. Leadership qualities with the ability to motivate survey teams. Detail-oriented with excellent analytical skills. Strong organizational and time management abilities. Effective decision-making critical thinking skills.
