Overview:

An established organization is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Channel Marketing Assistant to support various marketing initiatives and market development efforts within the Canadian sector. This role is a one-year contract position with the opportunity to contribute to a dynamic marketing team in a fast-paced environment. Bilingual proficiency in English and Chinese (written and verbal) is required. This position requires working on-site five days a week.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the execution of short-term marketing initiatives and administrative tasks to support overall marketing objectives.
  • Address customer inquiries and concerns through email and phone communications.
  • Provide sales team support, including preparing presentations, organizing samples, developing marketing collateral (sell sheets, point-of-purchase materials, recipe books, and promotional content), and coordinating in-store activities.
  • Assist with bilingual communication (English and Chinese) for internal and external correspondence, including document translation.
  • Maintain and update marketing databases, ensuring accuracy in catalogs, legal documentation, competitive research, and customer files.
  • Oversee marketing fulfillment tasks, including direct mail campaigns, packaging distribution, and sales material management.
  • Support content creation and editing for newsletters, advertisements, labels, and catalogs.
  • Facilitate communication between the marketing team and external partners, including PR firms, designers, and social media agencies.
  • Assist in coordinating packaging design, artwork development, and consumer-facing materials with external vendors.
  • Liaise with vendors and global partners for sourcing promotional materials.
  • Participate in trade shows, product demonstrations, promotional activities, and community engagement events.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to ensure website updates and digital content remain current.
  • Perform additional duties as needed to support the team.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing (or in progress).
  • A minimum of one year of relevant experience, preferably in the consumer packaged goods (CPG) industry.
  • Strong communication and analytical skills with the ability to engage cross-functional teams, including Sales, Finance, Digital Innovation, and Production.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects with attention to detail and deadlines.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Highly organized, quick learner, and comfortable in a collaborative, fast-paced work environment.

Language Requirements:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Bilingual proficiency in English and Chinese (written and verbal) is required.

Mathematical & Technical Skills:

  • Ability to apply basic mathematical principles, including percentages, ratios, and proportions, to business-related tasks.
