Cytodiagnostics Inc. is looking for a highly motivated Research Assistant to join our team in Burlington, ON. Requires use of independent judgement; perform under general directions and work as an integral part of our immunoassay development team in Canada.ResponsibilitiesConduct literature reviews and data collection.Assist in designing research studies and experiments.Develop and optimize methods and protocols for detection of various antigens in ELISA and other immunoassaysMaintain high quality standards during experimental processes and record keepingCollaborate with the research team on project planning and implementation.Ensure compliance with research protocols and ethics.Autonomously design and perform experimentsQualificationsThe successful candidate will have a B.Sc. or M.Sc. in cell biology, biochemistry, or biomedical sciences with a minimum of 2+ years of experience.Previous hands-on experience with ELISA and/or Lateral Flow Assays is a requirement.Desired and Preferred Qualifications and SkillsExperience with ELISA or Lateral Flow Assay design and developmentExperience with statistical analysis of data is desiredSelf-motivated and independent with the ability to drive projects forwardExcellent communication and organizational skillsExperience in writing/reviewing SOPs, study reportsExceptional analytical and problem-solving skillsIndustry experience, and working in an ISO environment is an assetHaving the confidence and ability to identify and communicate new potential opportunities is an asset
