Cytodiagnostics Inc. is looking for a highly motivated Research Assistant to join our team in Burlington, ON. Requires use of independent judgement; perform under general directions and work as an integral part of our immunoassay development team in Canada.


Responsibilities

  • Conduct literature reviews and data collection.
  • Assist in designing research studies and experiments.
  • Develop and optimize methods and protocols for detection of various antigens in ELISA and other immunoassays
  • Maintain high quality standards during experimental processes and record keeping
  • Collaborate with the research team on project planning and implementation.
  • Ensure compliance with research protocols and ethics.
  • Autonomously design and perform experiments


Qualifications

The successful candidate will have a B.Sc. or M.Sc. in cell biology, biochemistry, or biomedical sciences with a minimum of 2+ years of experience.

Previous hands-on experience with ELISA and/or Lateral Flow Assays is a requirement.


Desired and Preferred Qualifications and Skills

  • Experience with ELISA or Lateral Flow Assay design and development
  • Experience with statistical analysis of data is desired
  • Self-motivated and independent with the ability to drive projects forward
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Experience in writing/reviewing SOPs, study reports
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Industry experience, and working in an ISO environment is an asset
  • Having the confidence and ability to identify and communicate new potential opportunities is an asset
