Your role is important:

As a Business Development Representative, you will be responsible for client relations in our Genetics business line. You will have predefined sales targets. You will work to promote the various services offered by our genetics business unit (pharmacogenomics) to existing and potential clients. You will work closely with the sales team and the management of the genetics business line.

Your expertise will be used to approach clients outside Quebec (ROC).

Your main responsibilities:

  • Conduct telephone prospecting of potential clients (doctors, insurers, psychiatrists, associations, etc.)
  • Analyze the market and target potential clients, then make cold calls
  • Plan and organize meetings with potential clients
  • Maintain business relationships with established clients and maximize the services offered
  • Resolve problems or issues with client accounts
  • Negotiate service agreements based on volume and profitability
  • Promote Biron Genetics services by occasionally attending various trade shows or exhibitions across Quebec
  • Keep activities up to date and documented in the database (CRM)

The ideal candidate has:

  • A college or university degree in a relevant field for the role;
  • Significant experience in representation / internal sales in the medical field or a related industry;
  • Comfort with cold calls and prospection;
  • Maturity, autonomy, and excellent sense of organization and priority management
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills;
  • Results-oriented and time management skills;
  • Ability to organize, plan, and negotiate;
  • Ability to analyze and make judgments;
  • Problem-solving skills;
  • Good interpersonal skills and teamwork;
  • Excellent mastery of MS Office suite;
  • Knowledge of a customer relationship management (CRM) software, a major asset
