Position Overview:
We’re seeking a highly skilled and motivated Controller to lead the financial team. As the Controller, you will play a crucial role in shaping the company’s financial strategy and ensuring the integrity of financial reporting. Key Responsibilities:
- Financial Analysis and Management:
Prepare and present monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes.
Monitor financial performance and variances, providing insights for improvement.
- Accounting Oversight:
Manage the accounting department and two employees, ensuring accurate and timely processing of financial transactions.
Ensure compliance with regulatory and contractual requirements.
Oversee the preparation of tax returns and liaise with external auditors.
- Internal Controls:
Develop and implement effective internal controls to safeguard company assets.
Conduct regular audits and risk assessments to identify areas for improvement.
Take responsibility for payroll
- Team Leadership:
Mentor and develop accounting staff, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
Collaborate with other departments to support business objectives and financial strategies.
- Strategic Planning:
Provide financial insights to support strategic decision-making.
Assist in identifying opportunities for growth and cost efficiencies.
Qualifications:
· A degree in finance, accounting, or a related field; CPA is preferred.
· 3+ years of progressive accounting and finance experience, with at least 2 years in a management role.
· Strong knowledge of accounting software (QB) and financial reporting tools.
· Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
· Experience in a fast-paced environment with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
