YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES AS APPLICATIONS MANAGER:

* Support the IT Director in identifying and executing strategic priorities.

* Manage, train, and mentor a team of Application Analysts supporting enterprise applications, ensuring compliance with security best practices and policies.

* Foster a high-performance, collaborative culture, providing support for individual and collective team goals; encourage employee autonomy and empower your team to make informed, independent decisions in the best interests of the company.

* Oversee the transition and integration of IT initiatives.

* Develop policies and procedures for the application strategy, as well as concepts and tools for stakeholder use, ensuring best-in-class service.

* Enhance change management for effective communication and planning.

* Contribute to overall enterprise architecture.

* Cultivate and manage relationships with business vendors, support agencies, and other stakeholders.

* Provide input on project priorities, dependencies, and timelines.

* Manage and respond to multiple projects and priorities in a timely manner.


WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR IN AN APPLICATIONS MANAGER:

* 5+ years of IT management with experience in Transportation/ Logistics industry

* A manager with a coaching mentality to develop and foster a high-performance culture

* Experience with Electronic Data Interchange (EDI)

* Experience with Transportation Management Software (TMS)

* Experience working with SQL, Progress, or other databases

* Familiarity with Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW) and Document management systems (DMS) is an asset

* Excellent communication, collaboration, and strategic problem solving
