Over the last three years, we have successfully deployed the BuildUp platform in multiple high-profile residential high-rise buildings in Canada, monitoring vital systems such as water leak detection and energy management.

Role Description


We are seeking full-time, hybrid Mid level AWS System Administrator. In this role, you will analyze data from IoT devices, implement AWS-based solutions (including AWS IoT), and optimize LoRaWAN networks.  


This position is based in Brossard, Québec with flexibility for remote work. You will report directly to our Senior Director of Integration and collaborate closely with a team of developers working on future AI-driven versions of the BuildUp platform.  



Key responsibilities include:  


Provisioning of sensors, gateways, and controllers.  

Configuration of BuildUp AWS Cloud IOT instances and supporting services (back-end, databases and web front ends).

Customer onboarding and support during the deployment process.  

Providing Level 2 and 3 technical support.  

Collaborating with field installation teams for successful project delivery.  

Occasional travel may be required for national project deployments.



Qualifications


Efficient experience with AWS services and administration.

Efficient experience in Python, JSON, SQL, NoSQL and AWS API programming.

Experience with Jira, Notion, Draw.io, and Office 365 tools.  

Familiarity with AWS Amplify or Angular frameworks.  

Familiarity with LoraWAN and IOT technologies is a desirable qualification.

Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.  

Ability to collaborate effectively within a team and across departments.  

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in computer science, engineering, or a related field.



Certifications 


AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner (required). 

AWS Certified SysOps Administrator – Associate (required).  

AWS Certified Developer – Associate (optional).  

If the candidate does not already possess the AWS Certified Developer – Associate certification, they will be expected to obtain it within one year of joining the team.



Other Requirements 


- Valid Quebec driver’s license.  

- Bilingual or professional working proficiency in French and English.  

- Must have permanent residency or Canadian citizenship.
