Our client, a regulatory body of Canada, is hiring for a Manager of Corporate Affairs to join their team on a full time, permanent position This is a fully remote position, however the successful candidate must reside within Ontario.
The successful candidate will lead the organization's corporate functions including compliance, procurement, facilities, and administrative operations.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the Corporate Affairs Unit, developing and executing strategies.
- Oversee compliance with legislation, regulations, directives, and guidelines.
- Manage procurement, ensuring compliance with College policies and legislation.
- Oversee facilities management, including security, maintenance, and lease-related matters.
- Manage administrative operations, including records management and office inventory.
- Develop and manage project plans in collaboration with the Project Management Office.
- Ensure adherence to budgets, schedules, work plans, and performance requirements.
- Identify and implement opportunities for operational improvements.
- Stay updated on relevant legislation, trends, and best practices.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure compliance with legislative requirements.
- Other duties as assigned.
Education, Experience, and Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
- 5-7 years of experience in corporate services, including procurement, administrative operations, and facilities.
- Knowledge of compliance functions, including ATIP and the Library and Archives of Canada Act.
- Proficiency in budgeting, forecasting, and expenditure management.
- Experience in contract administration.
- Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent time management, organizational, and decision-making skills.
- Strong interpersonal, presentation, and stakeholder relationship management skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Attention to detail to ensure compliance with deadlines.
- Strong coaching and management skills.
- Understanding of project management principles.
