Social Media Coordinator (Ottawa, On)

Part-time/contract (3 months to start with a possibility of permanent)

Compensation:

$20-25/hour (based on experience)

Our salon offers tailored services designed for women while our newly launched sub-brand, The Camara Collection delivers top-quality raw hair. Our mission is to redefine beauty standards by providing exceptional products and services that elevate the clients' experience.

Role Description:

This is a part time employment contract for a Social Media Coordinator at Camara Beauty Inc based in Ottawa, ON. The position is primarily remote except for photoshoots or projects in the

Montreal/Ottawa, and Toronto area. An in-person attendance will only be required if the candidate is in one of these cities.

The Social Media Coordinator will be responsible for content creation, social media

marketing, communication, writing, and digital marketing.

Responsibilities:

  • Managing emails and direct messages for @camarabeauty and @thecamaracollection
  • Scheduling and following up on meetings with brides and clients
  • Editing reels for social media content
  • Creating and maintaining a social media content plan and schedule
  • Assisting with photoshoots and project coordination

Qualifications:

  • Social Media Content Creation, Social Media Marketing, and Digital Marketing skills
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills (both written and oral)
  • Experience in social media management and content creation
  • Ability to create engaging and creative social media content
  • Strong understanding of social media platforms and trends
  • Experience with analytics and tracking social media performance
  • Strong sense of initiative and autonomy
  • Must be comfortable working independently

Requirements:

  • Social Media Portfolio showcasing previous content creation, campaigns, and social media growth.
  • Proficiency with Social Media Platforms including Instagram, TikTok, Meta, and others, with a deep understanding of platform-specific strategies.
  • Basic Graphic Design Skills (e.g., Canva, Adobe Creative Suite) to create high-quality visuals and engaging posts.
  • Experience in Influencer Marketing and working with influencers, including managing collaborations and campaigns.
  • Basic Photography and Video Editing Skills for creating original content when necessary.
