Our client is looking to hire a content and marketing copywriter, who will have the opportunity to write a breadth of content, from emails and digital marketing campaigns to blog posts and ebooks (and so much more). The incumbent will become a strategic part of the marketing team, working alongside experts in growth, product, brand and partnership marketing and will act as a key contributor in shaping the direction of content for a digital (SaaS) product that is focused on medical billing.


The opportunity is almost 100% remote (must reside in Canada) and the team meets a handful of times each year in person for moments that matter, such as annual planning session, company retreats and team social events.


Key Responsibilities & Expectations


Reporting to our Senior Brand Manager, the incumbent will:

  • Own the execution of tone and voice and ensure a consistent experience across all customer touchpoints.
  • Work closely with our marketing leadership team to align copy with our content objectives and calendar.
  • Partner with external agencies, Customer Success, Product and Sales Enablement teams to fulfill cross-functional copy needs.
  • Create engaging copy for a variety of media, including but not limited to blogs, emails, case studies, videos, eBooks, web, social and print.
  • Communicate our value propositions to various target personas with clarity and creativity—and a keen eye for driving engagement and results.
  • Manage our blog from end-to-end, from writing and collaborating with our designer to obtain/develop images—to posting the finished product.
  • Ensure content is optimized for search engines to increase organic traffic and improve search rankings.
  • Assign a small percentage of writing to internal and external partners, overseeing the relationship and quality of work.
  • Lead select strategic initiatives for the team where content is the cornerstone.


Skills and Qualifications


  • 5+ years of copywriting experience across a variety of media.
  • Ability to combine creative concepts and storytelling with clear, professional writing.
  • Experience in simplifying the complex.
  • Post-secondary education in English, Journalism, Communications or a related field.
  • Expert level experience with WordPress (5+ years)
  • An exceptional writing portfolio.
  • Past experience in SaaS and/or healthcare writing is an asset.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent time management and prioritization skills, with the ability to manage multiple deliverables.
  • Comfort collaborating across teams as well as with working independently.
  • An eagerness to test and learn, analyze results and refine copy based on insights.
  • Basic understanding of user experience (UX) writing principles.
  • Experience using marketing technology such as Google Suite, Google Analytics, Asana, Confluence, HubSpot, Slack, Figma, Sprinklr.
