We are seeking an Intermediate Social Media Videographer with a creative instinct and passion for content creation to join our team at DECIEM.

This is a hybrid position based out of our head office in Toronto.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conceptualize, shoot, and edit elevated video content for social media across all channels at an intermediate level (Instagram, YouTube, TikTok).
  • Input music, dialogues, graphics, effects, and other post-production elements into a video.
  • Prepare and present storyboards to the Social Media Manager, Head of Brand Engagement, and Head of Video Production.
  • Lead the experimentation and exploration of creative direction to optimize our social channels.
  • Support the Associate Manager with graphic design content creation.
  • Lead and support the social team with professional content creation for all brands.
  • Collaborate with the Social Media Manager on campaign-related and evergreen projects.
  • Help to develop and maintain our social media content calendar.
  • Stay up to date with DECIEM's product knowledge, company information, launches, and campaigns.
  • Strong level of understanding current trends in the content creation and beauty industry.
  • Assist in managing community management accounts within Instagram, YouTube, Facebook, and TikTok.

Requirements:

  • 2+ years of experience in video editing is required.
  • Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite, especially Premiere Pro, Photoshop, and After Effects.
  • Proficiency with all video equipment, including DSLRs, professional film cameras, lighting, microphones, and audio equipment.
  • Strong understanding of audio, colour, cinematography, video framing approach, and theory.
