About the Role

We are excited to offer a unique opportunity to join our dynamic digital team as a Social Media and Marketing Coordinator Intern, with a special focus on sports and entertainment. In this pivotal role, you will play a key part in enhancing our online presence and shaping our brand identity. Your primary focus will be managing social media platforms, creating engaging content, and analyzing performance to drive brand awareness and foster audience engagement, particularly within the sports and entertainment sectors.


Beyond social media management, you will take on a variety of marketing and administrative responsibilities. You will contribute to website management, media relations, and ensure that our brand message is consistent and impactful across all platforms.


You will actively support strategies designed to increase brand visibility in sports and entertainment, co-develop and execute marketing initiatives, including campaigns, events, sponsorships, and corporate appearances. Your adaptability and enthusiasm will be essential as we continue to grow and evolve in these exciting industries.

This role is ideal for a creative, proactive, and technology-savvy individual who is excited about making a meaningful impact within the sports and entertainment sectors. This position offers flexibility and can be part-time or full-time for the right candidate.


Core Duties & Responsibilities:


  • Assist in developing and implementing social media strategies across platforms (Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, TikTok, etc.) with a focus on sports and entertainment.
  • Generate, schedule, and publish engaging content (posts, stories, videos) tailored for each platform.
  • Monitor and maintain content for all WeShall Investments social media accounts.
  • Respond to comments, messages, and engagement on social channels in a timely and professional manner.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to brainstorm content ideas aligned with client marketing campaigns, partnerships, and events within sports and entertainment.
  • Track and report on key performance metrics (engagement, reach, traffic) to inform future strategies.
  • Research and stay current on social media trends, proposing innovative ideas to enhance engagement, particularly in sports and entertainment.
  • Support community management efforts, building relationships with followers, influencers, and athletes.
  • Identify and leverage user-generated content to enrich brand narratives.
  • Conduct competitive analysis to benchmark and track activities in the sports and entertainment industries.


Requirements

  • Passion for athletics (specifically basketball and soccer) or an athletic background is required.
  • Current student or recent graduate in Marketing, Communications, Social Media Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum availability of 10 hours per week, up to a maximum of 40 hours per week, during regular business hours at our downtown office.
  • Strong familiarity with social media platforms and best practices.
  • Basic knowledge of social media tools (e.g., Hootsuite, Canva).
  • Basic video editing skills.
  • Creative thinker with a passion for contributing fresh ideas.
  • Proactive, self-motivated, and eager to learn.
